What Caregivers Actually Do
MTTI's Caregiving program (CAG-01) is aligned to the TVET CDACC Caregiving Level 4 curriculum, and covers real, practical competencies:
- Personal care and hygiene support for clients who can't manage independently

Note on further study: The full TVET CDACC Caregiving Level 4 qualification requires 480 hours of industrial (workplace) training in addition to the taught units — a structured pathway if you want the complete national certificate, not just foundational skills.

Caregiving work is typically paid daily, hourly, or as a live-in monthly arrangement depending on the client's needs — rates vary by location, hours, and whether the role is live-in or visiting. Many trained caregivers work independently, building a client base through hospital discharge planners, churches, and word of mouth, while others prefer the structure and steadier schedule of working for a facility or agency.
